HEARTBURN - How do you stay together?

In the midst of a relationship crisis, Annelie takes a pause to ask a question many of us know too well: How do you do it — being together, and staying together?
And why is it so hard?
Is it her family history, the monogamous man–woman relationships she keeps finding herself in, or is the idea of one true love simply out of step with our times?
She looks for answers — from an Ayurvedic doctor, a couples therapy book, and from the words of Bell Hooks on true love.
She tries to stay with her lover. There's only one problem: the lover themself.
A theatrical concert about the deep desire to stay, and the desperate, funny, and tender ways we try to hold on to love.

Anan Alkadamani

Anan Alkadamani is a self-taught violinist and composer, later earned his bachelor's degree cum laude from CODARTS, Conservatory of Rotterdam. His curiosity has led him to explore a wide range of musical styles, from folklore and Maqam to Western classical and jazz, which has cultivated his distinct and rich musical voice.
Beyond his performance work, Anan is also a prolific composer, writing for both solo instruments and large ensembles, with scores for theater and award-winning short films. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in classical composition at Codarts, while continuing to develop new projects.
