Paper Throne

Paper Throne is a duo consisting of George Hadow on drums and Tania Zountsa on alto saxophone where they continuously reinvent instant composing — making music spontaneously without any prior plans or limits.
Their performances happen entirely in the moment, shaped by a personal and unique style where each improvisation is rooted in the now and evolves differently every time.
The interplay between the saxophone and drums opens up a vast spectrum of expression—ranging from bold and dramatic to subtle and delicate—always infused with surprise and spontaneity.

Fabian Campuzano, Tobias Klein and Nasim López-Palacios Navarro will perform as a trio for the first time. All three of them like to explore the sonic possibilities of their instruments without adhering to specific genres and styles.

Trytone organized concerts at Zaal 100 from 1999 through 2012, and then took a 13-year break. Now you are welcome again to join us at the TONE SERIES on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month... until at least the year 2038!
