What started as a small project quickly developed into a warm wave of positive energy and a good dose of musicality that forms the core within Roots Palmera. Most of the band members come from the island of Aruba, which has given their music a Reggae-Caribbean swing. Their positive summer Caribbean vibes and catchy melodies will guarantee that you’ll start shaking that body and get a smile on your face!

Gigs and Amsterdamse Popprijs
As a finalist at "the Amsterdamse Popprijs", Roots Palmera was described by the jury as "A nice tight band in a genre that is easy to listen to" and "This band can go to any festival and create a big party". Roots Palmera has played at well-known venues and festivals in The Netherlands like Paradiso, Melkweg, P60, Edelwise, Uitmarkt, Rollende Keukens, Surfana, Rastaplas and Kwaku Festival and has built a strong live reputation in a short period.

ABC tour
The biggest highlight of Roots Palmera was their tour on the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao). Bookers on the islands were so enthusiastic with the catchy melodies of Roots Palmera that they flew in the band for various performances at beach clubs where they built a great party.
