EXP is the Amsterdam based power trio around multi-instrumentalist Karst van Oosten and their sound is best charracterized as an eclectic crossover between blues rock, rhthm n blues and funk, infused with flavors ranging from hiphop and fusion to stoner rock.

Strong songwriting, groovy riffs, catchy choruses, and well composed arrangements are approached with freedom and room for improvisation and in the tradition of the great blues rock power trios of the late 60s we mix original songs with blues rock and rhythm n blues covers of our biggest influences.
Those strech from The Jimi Hendrix Experience and all the blues and rhythm blues legends that inspired him to The Meters, Sly and the Family Stone, to Prince, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin and Audioslave.
