Dutch pianist and composer Dante Boon was born in Haarlem and was educated at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Boon is a member of the Wandelweiser collective and has specialized in the interpretation of experimental piano music. He has recorded music by many composers, including Tom Johnson, Philip Corner, Rozalie Hirs, John Cage, Jürg Frey, Antoine Beuger, Samuel Vriezen, Morton Feldman, Richard Ayres, and others.
Boon’s own compositions have been performed internationally by numerous performers and ensembles.

Canadian multi-instrumentalist and composer Marielle Groven has been based in Amsterdam since 2019. Her composed music foregrounds the beauty and complexity of raw sound roughly hewn using basic compositional methods. Her scores are handmade and realized using a highly distilled form of notation using standard and graphic notation. She performs on violin, piano and pipe organ and composes for various ensembles. Recent performances include the A L’ARME! festival with Jasper Stadhouders’ Polyband; the Rewire Festival with Leo Svirsky and The River Without Banks; a violin solo at the Bimhuis; The Amsterdam Wandelweiser Festival; and with Charlemagne Palestine.

Aaron Lumley is a Canadian double bass player living in Amsterdam since 2019. Working with the extended sonic range of the acoustic contrabass, Lumley is an exploratory musician who plays on an instrument tuned in fifths using a self-made bow. He currently plays bass in Bioluminus (with Ada Rave and Onno Govaert), Old Adam on Turtle Island (with John Dikeman, Marta Warelis and Sun Mi Hong), Leo Svirsky and the River Without Banks, Bhajan Bhoy & his Raga Arkestra, plus collaborations with Marielle Groven, Nora Mulder, Jasper Stadhouders among others. Lumley’s most recent solo record, Aaron Lumley Plays the Doghouse Bass (STABLE WORKS), was released at the Bimhuis in late 2019.
