American songwriter Bill Parker recently celebrated his 50th anniversary as a musician. Describing himself as “a storyteller who deals in traditional American music forms,” Parker draws upon his years playing rock & roll, the Blues, and country music, as well as Sixties pop, soul, and rhythm & blues, to provide the backdrop for his lyrics.
For his fourth tour of The Netherlands (1 March – 29 April), he will be joined onstage by Jolanda Haanskorf, who frequently appears with Jacques Mees & Friends, and has also sung with American singer/songwriters Dick LeMasters & Douglas Greer. Jolanda was originally billed and introduced as a "Special Guest" during Parker’s previous tour (May 2017), but by tour’s end they were doing nearly two-thirds of the show together. After the tour's final performance, they decided to continue as a full-fledged duo, "Bill & Jolanda." They have recorded a dozen new songs which will be unveiled during the upcoming tour.
