Spoelstra * Extreme songwriting * Far fetched mutations of noiserock, country, avant garde and electronics all made live on the spot by one man with a guitar, a synthesizer, samplers and effect pedals. What Spoelstra does is radical in many ways and certainly a menace for the average dancefloor, but Spoelstra firmly believes there is no reason to let abrasive riffs, loose strings, stumbling patterns, rural outbursts and tearjerk twists stand in the way of a good song unless it is funny.

Vergezochte mutaties van noiserock, country, math, avant-garde, electro en country. Wat Spoelstra ter plekke allemaal in elkaar zet, als een man met een gitaar, een synthesizer, samplers en effectapparatuur is in vele opzichten vragen om problemen op de dansvloer, maar Spoelstra vindt dat snerpende riffs, losse snaren, struikelritmes en tranentrekkende wendingen niets af hoeven te doen aan de kracht van een liedje, tenzij het grappig is.
